Needs From: Brookhaven National Laboratory

Each year, the district brings together a group of industry professionals to speak with students and families about careers/innovations in STEAM fields. The event provides a unique opportunity for organizations like yours to engage directly with students, discuss/demonstrate applications of your work, and help guide the next generation as they explore potential educational and career pathways.

Meet with small groups of students, on a rotating schedule, to discuss your industry, job responsibilities, and educational requirements for your specific field.

This is a sorting and repacking event following the collection of food from the Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger event. Volunteers will be handling cans and packages of food and sorting these items into bins for distribution.

Warehouse Location: TBA. Past locations have included, Melville/ Islandia/ Hauppauge. A confirmation email will be sent to volunteers once the location is provided to us from the planning team at Island Harvest.

Packaged snacks and water will be available for volunteers. Volunteer T-shirts will be provided from Island Harvest.

Share BNL research with students at the STEM Celebration! This event is geared for students grades K-5. Volunteers will support an expo table with hands on activities provided by the Office of Workforce Development and Science Education.
